The school has excellent facilities like 'High-tech computer laboratory', Library, Reading room, Transport, Sports etc. A high quality swimming pool has been constructed during the year 2004 and regular training is given to students. The Computer laboratory is an air-conditioned high-tech one with over 36 multimedia systems with colour monitors, uninterrupted power supply and internet facilities. Ordinarily there will be an excursion cum study tour every year. It is obligatory on the part of the students to take part in it unless he or she is physically unfit. The students have visited places like Calcutta, Delhi, Hydrabad, Bangalore, Mysore, Ooty, Kodaikanal etc in the past few years. The library is well stocked with a plenty of books on various topics, in English, Tamil and Hindi. Open access system is followed in the Library. New books are added to the collection every year.

Ambasamudram is approachable by road and rail from Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum), Kollam (Quilon), Tirunelveli and Thenkasi. The nearest airports are at Trivandrum and Madurai, which are 145 and 250 Kms away respectively. The nearness to the Western Ghats, the famous Kuttralam (Courtallam) falls, the Papanasam falls, the Panatheertham falls and the Manimuthar falls blesses the place with a salubrious climate.
Fresh admissions to this school are made from Standard VI onwards, on the basis of an entrance examination. Parents who are desirous of admitting their wards should fill in the form 'Application for registration of seats'. Contact us if you need any other information. All the students who successfully complete the Standard V from the AVRmV English Medium Primary School are automatically admitted to this school. In the case of others, parents who are desirous of admitting their wards should fill in the form 'Application for registration of seats'. These forms can be had from the school-office by remitting a registration fee and depositing the form together with two self-addressed post cards.
